This powder is beautiful. It is SO soft and smooth. You apply it on top of foundation for more coverage or you can use it on its own. There is a lovely blur effect this powder gives and it makes your skin really soft. I love love love that this powder isn’t fully matte. It does give you a little bit of a glow but not too much at all. Just a healthy type of glow. The packaging is gorgeous too which is a bonus. It comes with a sponge underneath in a special compartment but I never use the sponges as they waste so much product. I always use with a mini kabuki brush.

First thing you will notice is the packaging for this product is absolutely gorgeous! The inside of the box has the same print as the little bag it comes in, the amount of effort they have gone into to present this little beauty made me want to not even use it.
The product itself is pretty good, the texture is silky soft and glides onto the skin without any difficulty.
The only problem I had was with the shade I got, I purchased one that was a little too orange for my skin, still made it work but I guess this is a problem we can all run into when buying online.
I am a fan of Urban Decay’s products, so I could not resist buying this powder when I saw it on sale. My skin is dry, so it does not really need a setting powder to stop my makeup from moving. However, because my skin is dry I like for it to have a bit of illumination. This powder is called “The Illuminizer” and it has subtle illuminating pigments to give the skin a subtle sheen. This review is for the translucent edition.
The Urban Decay Naked Skin Pressed Finishing Powder comes in a beautiful square reflective silver compact with “ud” in script engraved into the lid. To open the compact you push the dark grey button that says “NAKED” and the lid pops open to reveal the powder and a mirror. The tray that holds the pan of powder lifts up to reveal a white square sponge underneath with “ud” on the back in dark grey script. The powder itself is light peach in colour, but it goes on as translucent.
I cannot say if the sponge that the powder compact comes with is any good as I have not used it to apply the powder. I have only applied the powder onto my face with a powder brush. I have been using this powder over the past year to set my foundation and to give my skin an extra boost of luminosity. It has been working very well over the top of my foundation; both helping it to stay put and evening out the coverage and application. The sheen it provides is very subtle, and not glittery at all.
A good translucent, luminising powder is hard to find, especially if you are pale like me and not looking for a powder to give you extra coverage over your foundation. I definitely recommend this powder if you are looking for a subtle, luminising sheen to enhance your foundation.
