Antipodes Culture Probiotic Night Recovery Water Cream

This is the first time I have seen a probiotic night cream! I take a prebiotic daily for my gut health, so why not use one on my skin? Such a great idea. I have a lot of love for Antipodes products, I have many in my skincare collection. I am always happy with the results. This night cream comes I the typical Antipodes glass jar, this one has a blue label. It has a slight scent and is a very pale pinkish colour. Because it is a water cream it is not as thick, and glides onto your skin beautifully. Ot absorbs super quickly, so starts working super fast. This is now one of my favourite night creams because it absorbs quickly and I don't feel like it will all rub off onto my pillow.

I read good reviews of this on BR which is what convinced me to try it. I’ve not used much from the Antipodes range, so didn’t know what to expect.

The glass jar is lovely, and I like the look of the product sitting in my bathroom.

But as soon as I opened the jar I was overwhelmed by the scent of rose. I generally avoid fragrance in my skincare, so maybe I’m extra sensitive to it, but I seriously have never used such a heavily scented face cream. And the smell really lingers too.

Upon applying it, my face started to sting. It felt like I had applied Vicks Vapour Rub to my face. A product hasn’t had this effect on me for a long time, so I know my skin isn’t unreasonably sensitive.

Initially I used it as a night cream. Judging by the ingredients I knew it wasn’t actually occlusive enough to lock in moisture, but considering it claims to be a “night recovery cream” I figured it should have been enough to use alone overnight. But even before I went to bed I already felt dry. In the morning my face was still dry.

I persevered through the stinging (maybe a mistake) and used it as a serum type treatment the next night, with a heavier moisturiser over the top. This would be the only effective method of using it in my opinion.

In the end, I’ve stopped using it on my face all together. I’m finishing the jar on my legs and body and probably won’t buy any more Antipodes products.

This product initially caught my eye when I saw it is a probiotic night cream - and it has hyaluronic acid in as well. I wanted a night cream that puts moisture back into my skin, soothes it as well as have some anti-aging effect. This cream definitely ticks all the boxes, and a bonus is that is smells great too - AND is more affordable when compared to other night creams. I have been so impressed with this cream and look forward to try more of the products that this brand has to offer.

I absolutely love this night cream and so does my skin. The scent is amazing with a lovely rose hint which is amazing and gives me a feel of something special. It is lovely to apply and just melts into my skin. In the morning my skin feels soft and cared for. I ordered this through the RR as the reviews were so good and I am not disappointed.This is the first time I have tried this brand but it will not be the last.

I was given a jar of this product as a gift and loved it from the moment I tried it on my skin! The texture of the cream is light and airy (not dense and heavy, like other products on the market!) and the scent is dreamy and luxurious. My skin absolutely soaked it up and was left feeling soft and supple. Love this and will be buying more!

Another product included in the BBBE '22. Glass 60ml pottle. Wonderful scent of rose and geranium. Thick cream consistency, don't need to use much for full face/neck coverage. Calming experience using this product. I forgot how pampering it can be simply doing night care skin routine. This product reminds me how lovely an experience it can be. Bonus: skin is soft and moisturised. Overall very fond of this product.

The boxed packaging looks great and show cases NZ Native landscape. The beautiful design continues on to the glass jar. The glass jar has a screw top lid and once opened, has a very intense fragrance which I am not a fan of. There is a lot of information on the box packaging including a huge list on ingredients.

In the evening once I have cleansed, I apply Antipodes Culture Probiotic Night Recovery Water Cream. The cream is thick and gel like and I do not need layers of it. A small amount goes a long way.

My skin feels very, very soft and smooth in the morning. A really nice feeling.

I received this in my BBBE and wasn't sure what to expect as I haven't used any Antipodes products before, but I was blown out of the water.

The product comes in a beautiful dark blue floral printed box, with the same print on the label on the jar. The product itself is a beautiful baby purple creamy colour with a gel like consistency. It smells unique and luxurious.

Applying a generous amount to my skin at night, at first it feels cool to the touch, kind of like aloe Vera sun gel. Rubbing it in it feels like a face mask, leaving the skin feeling hydrated and illuminated. I go to sleep with my skin feeling incredible and wake up looking like a million bucks.

This really improves the look of tired or dull skin. Swap your regular moisturisor out for this every night for amazing results. I will definitely be purchasing again!
